Today we experimented with Tello Drones. First, my partner and I created a drone code simulation so we could demonstrate that we knew how to create a command for a real drone. After creating a drone command, we were given a real drone to connect to our device. To connect to the device, we simply connected our device to our drone through Wi-Fi. It took a couple tries to get the drone to connect but after a few errors we were finally able to connect. After connection we were able to have the drone take off from a table and fly in the shape of a square, get back to the take-off location, do a flip and land at the beginning location.

ReplyDeleteI love how simple and sweet you were able to create your activity, while still keeping it challenging enough that a child might find it something fun to pursue! is that what you plan on doing for Metro elementary on tuesday? i can't wait to see how children react to the drones!!
